How can the economy of developing countries improve?

Claim: To improve their economy status; developing countries or else Less Developed Countries (LDC) need to first improve their energy sources and secondly their cities (roads, public transport…). For all that to be done; money needs to be moved around and that is only going to be successful if they earn and sell services.

Evidence:

Italy has a program where you buy and renovate villas with local tradesmen.

"To achieve economic growth, developing countries need to improve their transport, electricity and water supplies and services."

"We work with countries and regions to identify and unblock major infrastructure problems."

"We fund the Private Infrastructure Development Group which gets private sector investment to assist developing countries in providing infrastructure vital to boosting their economic growth, and combating poverty. We also fund World Bank infrastructure projects, the Public Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility and innovative mechanisms like the Community Led Infrastructure Finance Facility."

(Department of International Development, July 2014)
